A fixture of bagpipe instruction Ken Eller is one of the most effective piping teachers in the world. Following years of successful solo competition in the 1960’s, Ken became pipe major of Clan MacFarlane Pipe Band. He led them to eight North American championships over his 15-year tenure. Leaving Clan MacFarlane in 1988 and joined the ranks of the vaunted 78th Fraser Highlanders. Ken retired from the Frasers in 2003. Most recently – 2005 – he fulfilled the requirements for and was accepted by the Royal Scottish Pipe Band Association (RSPBA) to their panel as an international adjudicator. Ken is a full time piping instructor and currently owns and directs an online teaching website. |
